Nestled in the foothills approximately 8 miles from City of Kingston this prestigious Golf Club offers the Ultimate Leisure Experience for Golfers & non Golfers alike. Conceived in the early 1950's the Caymanas Golf Course opened for play in 1957 and since that time has developed into a magnificent parkland thanks to the tropical climate of Jamaica The Course was designed by well-known Canadian Architect Howard Watson and was completed in 1958. Since then it has been "home" to the Jamaican Open numerous times (26), Hosted "Shell's Wonderful World of Golf", the Caribbean Championships on several occasions and is currently ranked among the very best in the Caribbean. The Course features elevated Tees & Greens with lush Fairways meandering through craggy limestone hills. Many of these Tees, set high in the hilltops, offer stunning views of the Golf Course. Cotton and Guango Trees, huge and intimidating, provide daunting natural hazards jealously protecting the Greens from anything but the best the Golfer can give. Caymanas is now regarded by many to be the finest in Jamaica and ranked amongst the best in the Caribbean. It offers an enjoyable and exacting test for golfers of all abilities
